Dr. Andrew Tharp, MD, FACS
Dr. Andrew Tharp, MD, FACS is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who has been in practice for fourteen years. He received his Medical Degree from Indiana University, where he also completed an Internship in Internal Medicine and a Residency in Ophthalmology. Dr. Tharp has performed refractive surgeries since 1994 and began doing LASIK after undergoing his own LASIK procedure in 1998. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, he is a member of a variety of regional and national professional medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Vanderburgh County Medical Society, as well as a board member of the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology and president elect of the IAO. Dr. Tharp is certified as a LASIK and Cataract/Implant surgeon by the American Board of Eye Surgery.
Dr. Jon L. Weyer, M.D.
Doctor Weyer specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology with an interest in cataracts, refractive surgery, oculoplastics, pediatrics, glaucoma and medical retina. Doctor Jonathan Lee Weyer earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, then went on to obtain his Medical Degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Indiana University, and has his Indiana State Medical License. He received the Indiana University Ophthalmology Residency Research Award in 2011 and in 2012, and he is part of one of the highest ranked LASIK teams in Evansville, Indiana. Doctor Weyer is also a part of the American and Indiana Academies of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the International Society of Refractive Surgery. He is also a staff member at both Deaconess and St. Mary’s Hospitals.

1. Stulting RD, Fant BS; T-CAT Study Group. Results of topography-guided laser in situ keratomileusis custom abalation treatment with a refractive excimer laser. J Cataract Refract Surg. 2016;42(1):11-18. Study description: Prospective, nonrandomized, multicenter study of 249 eyes with myopia (up to -9D) or myopic astigmatism of 6.0 D or less. Outcome measures included manifest refraction, UDVA, CDVA and visual symptoms up to 12 months. 2. In a subset of 124 patients in the clinical study, 122 responded that they would have LASIK again.
