Our own Dr. Andrew Tharp will again be participating in the Evansville Area Santa Run 5K this December and encourages others to participate in this fun and festive event – or just come out to cheer on “The Santas.”

The Rotary Club of Evansville will be hosting the 4th Annual Rotary Santa Run at 9am on December 2, 2017 at the Buffalo Trace Council, Eykamp Center. The proceeds from this year’s event benefit Changemaker Challenge, a program at the University of Evansville in which local students compete with innovative ideas to make our community a better destination. The 5K run and 1 mile walk will be held will begin at the Buffalo Trace Council and travel west to Vann Ave. and winds through East side neighborhoods of Evansville. The course is relatively flat.

For those participants who would rather stroll the 1 mile course, it will begin at the Buffalo Trace Council and lead you through the surrounding grounds, to separate from the running Santas. First 500 registrants will receive a Santa suit to be worn during the event: personalization and creativity are encouraged.
